ach awardee of the RiseUp Fund Homebuyer Assistance Program & Individual Development Account Program is paired with a HUD-certified, trained mentor to act as an advocate and advisor throughout the first year of homeownership. Mentors, who are all experienced homeowners themselves, can coach and encourage awardees on topics such as important financial considerations, handling maintenance and repairs, future mortgage refinancing, healthy living, conflict management as a homeowner, and more.
This program will be available to other low-moderate income earners who are in the process of purchasing their first home, with or without assistance from the RiseUp Fund Homebuyer Assistance Program.
